Imani Clark

Program Director - Climate Crew Collective
Imani Clark (she/they) works with the Michigan Health Improvement Alliance in partnership with Saginaw CAP and serves as the project director for the Climate Crew Collective, an project funded by the Minneapolis Foundation that combines environmental science and storytelling to foster stewardship and leadership for young adults in Saginaw.
Imani graduated summa cum laude from Saginaw Valley State University with degrees in Communications & English, and a minor in Theatre. She also attended Fisk University in Nashville, TN, where she developed a strong foundation in both humanities and social justice. Before joining the Michigan Education Justice Coalition (MEJC), Imani spent time studying and teaching in Japan, deepening her passion for education and cultural exchange. Her experiences abroad and her commitment to social justice continue to shape her approach to advocacy. She is dedicated to uplifting her community through grassroots work with local organizations like Saginaw CAP, My Music Matters, and the Ezekiel Project, as well as advocating for local environmental justice.
Outside of work, Imani loves to travel, write poetry, and explore new music. She believes in the power of storytelling and creativity to inspire, change, and bring people together. Imani is deeply passionate about fostering meaningful connections and using her voice to elevate marginalized communities. Whether mentoring youth, organizing in the community, or engaging in activism, Imani is committed to creating a more inclusive and compassionate world, one where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
