Heather Bauman

Director of Advocacy for Community Impact
Heather Bauman joins the Michigan Health Improvement Alliance as director advocacy for community impact. Her work focuses on empowering individuals, families and communities throughout the Great Lakes Bay Region. She serves as the executive director of The W.E.L.L. Outreach in Arenac County, a cornerstone of Vantage Plastics’ philanthropic and community engagement initiatives. Her approach to leadership involves cultivating key relationships and spearheading partnerships across both public and private sectors, enhancing the community’s well-being.
Heather holds a bachelor’s in business management from Northwood University and a master’s in business administration from DeVos Graduate School. Her commitment to her community is evident through her active roles on various local boards, including the Arenac County Economic Development, Sunrise Community Resource Center, and the Child Protection Council among others. Her work with The W.E.L.L. Outreach extends to supporting the County Community Mental Health Provider as the Interim Director of Arenac Opportunities Inc., showcasing her dedication to making a tangible difference.
Outside of her professional endeavors, Heather’s life is filled with the joys of motherhood, tending to her hobby farm along the river, and immersing herself in the natural beauty surrounding her. She finds profound satisfaction in her career, particularly in aligning with a forward-thinking manufacturer like Vantage Plastics, which places a high value on community and employee well-being. Heather’s role transcends traditional boundaries, illustrating a partnership model that deeply integrates corporate responsibility with community development, setting a new standard for what it means to lead with impact and purpose.
