Designed to inspire attendees to focus on their well-being and extend their lifespan, this annual free event is an opportunity for community members in the Great Lakes Bay Region to learn how to enrich their lives by taking charge of their health and discovering the necessity of having purpose in their lives.

Meet the Speakers

Dr. Kelly Doell, a mental performance consultant specializing in the mental side of active living. His passion is in building tools and teaching strategies that help people find their fit in fitness and maintain it for life.

Dr. Lisa Belanger, a behaviour change expert she helps people take control of the habits for performance, health and happiness. Lisa’s objective is to provide proven, real-world examples and have the audience walk away with key insights or steps for forming new habits.

Donald Schuster: Owner of a leadership consulting business that incorporates mindfulness. As a former human services Director and leadership consultant for over 38 years, Schuster knows firsthand about the benefits of meditation in his own life and as a powerful activity in helping people deal with the many challenges of life. Louis Alloro, M.Ed., MAPP.: Cofounder of the The Flourishing Center’s Certificate in Applied Positive Psychology (CAPP) program and a senior fellow at George Mason University’s Center for the Advancement of Wellbeing. Louis consults on culture change initiatives in Los Angeles and all over the world. Alloro has been at the forefront of helping organizations and individuals achieve high potential using scientifically informed tools and strategies. Link to Presentation


Brian Pruitt –  former All-American athlete, author and entrepreneur. He discovered that people could accomplish just about anything if they had the right perspective, took the right approach, lived by the right principles and walked through the appropriate process.

Chief Master Sergeant Ernest D. Crider –  6th Operation Center (Tanker Airlift Control Center) Superintendent where he is responsible for advising on the morale, welfare and quality of life of the 700 airmen assigned to Scott Air Force Base in Illinois. In addition, he is a presenter of Our Community Listens, concepts that are at the core of meaningful relationships and human connection.


Vic Strecher, Ph.D. –  Professor at the University of Michigan’s School of Public Health, Director for Innovation and Social Entrepreneurship, Founder of JOOL Health Inc., and author of Life On Purpose: How Living for What Matters Most Changes Everything and On Purpose: Lessons in Life and Health from the Frog, the Dung Beetle, and Julia. Click here to learn more.
